SELECTION PROCESS PPGFIS/UFRN – 2021

Master’s and Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy at UFRN

The Graduate Program in Physical Therapy of UFRN (PPGFIS/UFRN) has published a call for proposals for the selection of  students who wish to attend Master’s and Doctoral Degrees at Graduate Program in Physical Therapy at the Institution in 2021. The registration is open  from January 4^th to 30^th 2021. Registration Form will be available electronically in the website http://www.sigaa.ufrn.br/sigaa/public/processo_seletivo/lista.jsf?nivel=S&aba.  

The selection process will take place from February 9^th to March 16^th 2021. The Area of concentration of the program is “Evaluation and Intervention in Physical Therapy” and the lines of research are: Evaluation and Intervention in the Aging Proces (Line 01); Evaluation and Intervention in the Musculoskeletal System (Line 02);  Evaluation and Intervention in the Nervous System and Evaluation (Line 03) and Intervention in the Cardiovascular and Respiratory Systems. (Line 04). The Master’s and Doctoral Degree Courses in Physiotherapy  will offer places according to the availability of 04 research lines.

A total of 16 places for Master’s and 16 places for Doctorate will be offered. Scholarships will be granted according the availability of funding from the Graduate Program. The educational profile of the awardees of Master’s and PhD degrees in Physical Therapy graduated from UFRN is based on: I – education in the concentration area of Evaluation and Intervention in Physical Therapy, with application of specific knowledge in physical therapy’s different fields of practice; II – solid basic and specific knowledge of research in Physical Therapy; III – command of methodological tools applicable to human motion research; IV – multi and interdisciplinarity of knowledge; V – academic education geared toward the practice of lecturing/teaching and research.
