RESUMO:

Background: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a major public health problem. Caused by exposure to harmful gases, genetic changes or lung development, in addition to the accelerated aging process. It may be associated with chronic diseases increasing morbidity and contributing to the disability and mortality of these individuals. Objective: This thesis aims to conduct two studies: 1) Overview of the Cochrane reviews on pulmonary rehabilitation for people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; and 2) Translation, cross-cultural adaptation and psychometric evaluation of the Rapid Assessment of Physical Activity (RAPA). Methods: In study 1 We will investigate only systematic reviews of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) published in the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews. Data extracted will include the number of included studies, number of participants included, population, intervention (pulmonary rehabilitation) and dose (frequency / intensity), control description, results and revision limitations. The risk of bias will be assessed by the risk of bias in systematic reviews (ROBIS). The methodological quality will be analyzed through the Assessment of Multiple Systematic Reviews (AMSTAR). The quality of the evidence included in the reviews will be assessed using the Recommendations, Evaluation, Development and Evaluation Classification (GRADE). Screening of systematic reviews, eligibility evaluation, data extraction, methodological quality and quality of evidence will be performed in pairs by independent reviewers. The results that have been reported in the included reviews will be summarized in an "Overview of Reviews" table. The main conclusions about the effects of the interventions studied in the included reviews will be summarized and organized around clinically meaningful categories. Study 2 involves the process of transcultural translation and adaptation, through translation, reverse translation, review by a multiprofessional committee of experts and pre-test. Subsequently, the psychometric properties will be analyzed with the application of the Brazilian version of the questionnaire in a sample. Anthropometric assessments, physical activity evaluation (using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), Quality of Life Questionnaire, QBMI and Duke Activity Status Index questionnaire) will be performed using the SGRQ questionnaire (Saint George's Respiratory Questionnaire), six-minute walk test (6MWT), and pulmonary function measurements (spirometry). The data will be analyzed through the software SPSS 22.0, considering the level of significance of 5%. The normality of the data will be verified by the Kolmogorov-smirnov test and then the corresponding statistical tests will be applied for the analysis of the psychometric properties of validity and reliability. Expected Results: Study 1 is expected to compile evidence from multiple systematic reviews of pulmonary rehabilitation in people with COPD in an accessible and useful document. And the second study is expected to provide a valid and reliable questionnaire to assess the level of physical activity in Brazilian people with COPD.
