RESUMO:

Scapular Dyskinesis is a nomenclature used to define changes in the movement and/or in scapula position. However, not clear the association with postural abnormalities, range of motion, flexibility and spine muscular strength. Thus, the objective this research is analyze the influence of spine posture and biomechanics in individuals with and without scapular dyskineses. This is a cross-sectional observational study, developed in the Physiotherapy Department of the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte.  The preliminary results, the sample of 44 individuals, males and females, aged between 18 and 30 years, no athletes, without pain and/or spine disability. The scapular dyskinesis group (n=14) and whithout scapular dyskinesis group (n=30). The biophotogrammetry was used to postural assessment, using the SAPO software, the Pectoralis Minor Index (PMI) and the Levator Scapular Index (LSI) was used to flexibility assessment, the inclinometer was used to assessment cervical and thoracolumbar range of motion, and handheld dynamometer was used to measure the isometric muscle strength of the CORE, scapular and glenohumeral muscles. The analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to compare the groups.  For analyses between ad variables, the Correlation Pearson’s was used for the parametrics datas and the Sperman’s Correlation for the no parametrics data. No differences were found between groups for other variables. Regarding the correlation analysis, a moderate and negative correlation was observed between the head posture and range of motion for thoracolumbar flexion; a moderate and positive correlation was between posture shoulder and levator scapulae flexibility.  The results into question the clinical relevance of scapular dyskinesis, and appears to be prevalente in scapular dyskinesis in healthy individuals no athletes without shoulder ou spinal diseases. In addition, there is great importance in knowing the relations observed in the study for the foundation and the assistance clinical physiotherapeutic.
