The behavioral expression of individuals of a given species could present some variations that are related with life history and the genetic background of each individual. However, some individual differences appear to be consistent in some individuals. Different perspectives have been considered for the study of individual characteristics, taking into account the behavior of animals in relation to some situations such as: stress, novelty, predation, foraging and social environment. While for a long time these variations between individuals were considered to be experimental noise and disregarded, in the last decades, studies focusing on these differences have brought great contributions to the understanding of distal and proximal causes of animal behavior. Among the most studied behaviors, the bold and shy axis stands out, a dimension of behavioral variation related to an animal's propensity to take risks. Although the literature brings several studies on this theme, a pattern of temporal and contextual behavioral consistency has not yet been observed. Thus, the main objective of this work is to analyze the patterns of consistency of the individual differences of the Zebrafish (Danio rerio) in the bold and shy dimension, seeking to establish behavioral patterns that remain consistent in different contexts and over time.
