SUMMARY:

In this project we propose to understand a correlation between the factors regulating cardiac autonomic activity during the daytime cycle and the dream content of undergraduate students with partial and chronic sleep deprivation. Thus, observe the variability of waking and daytime heart rate and its correspondence with the participants' sleep history and emotional content of dreams. For this, use the sleep questionnaires, the polysomnographic examination of the nap and the analysis of the dream report through the psychophysiological interpretation of the attributes through the visual modeling. As a result, we hope to find associations between nap sleep parameters and cardiac autonomic controls, as well as demonstrating dream content and heart rate variation in the associated nap, and thus more in-depth understanding of nap-related issues, on cardiovascular health and the emotional content of dreams.
