SUMMARY:

Online games are increasingly attractive because it provides not only a perfect real-world simulation, but also the possibility of exploring new worlds, travel to other countries, new social ties and activities that could not be performed in the real world. All this with the guarantee of security and without leaving the comfort of your home. However, just like in the real world, in the virtual world it is noticeable the use of forms of intimidation of other individuals, which usually happens as cyberbullying. Unlike bullying, cyber has a high speed of spread of information, increased exposure of the victim, and the files remain displayed for years, causing great suffering to the target of the attack. The literature has suggested that individual characteristics and gender are major factors of influence for the choice of the game to be played and the way it is used. In addition, dark personality traits are related to greater susceptibility to gambling addiction. Several motivations were found for the search for the game, such as social interest, escape from reality, competition, confrontation, skills development, fantasy and recreation. Therefore, the proposal of this work is to analyze how the choice of the game occurs and what are the motivations of each personality, as well as to measure the problematic use of the game performed by the individual and to evaluate what motivations are most related to the practice of the individual cyberbullying. For this, the collection will be carried out with players of both sexes, who have an interest in MMORPG, MMOFPS, MMORTS, MOBA and Simulators, without age limit. As a method, participants should answer an online questionnaire in order to obtain information about their individual characteristics, their habits, and experiences within the game.
