RESUMO:

Pollination ecology studies involving bees and plants have contributed and continue to contribute significantly to the understanding of the evolutionary mechanism and the natural scenario in which they are involved. Like Apis bees, most stingless bees of the genus known and currently affected by poles and nectar of different plant species are generalists, with no sense of forage and with a wide variety of floral types. All this complexity favors the evolution of pollinator relationships through the learning and memory capacity of pollinators. Thus, the aim of the present study is to evaluate the perception of Jandaíra bees (Meliopona subnida) and if there is a relationship between the quality of the resource provided by the plant and its coloration by the bees' vision. A research will be developed at the campus of the Federal Rural University of Semi-Arid, located in the city of Mossoró / RN, belonging to the Caatinga Biome. For an analysis of the visual perception of the caatinga flowers, which are used by the jandaira bees (M. subnitida), five flower buds of each species will be collected in the morning and in the afternoon and during the reflection measurements that will be performed in the visual modeling to see what color bees see in flower buds. Through modeling, we expect to see how bees see as floral sources that they use as their main resource, and with the analysis of resources that are probably evolved cores associated with the quality of resources for major pollinators such as bees, associated that features provided by it is advantageous.
