SUMMARY:

This qualification project has as its starting point findings on the disorder ADHD, through psychoanalytic research in my clinical experience. I observed a relevant number of diagnoses of this disorder in the last 30 years, configuring it as a paradigmatic and representative disorder of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), which was created in 1950, undergoing several revisions over time and It is currently in its fifth version. However, the diagnosis of ADHD only appears, as it appears today, in the third version, from the 1980s, after the rise of global neoliberalism that caused profound changes in the economy, politics, work, and, above all, in ways of thinking. life, historical context, therefore, in which ADHD is present in the social field. Thus, our object of study will be ADHD as a paradigmatic representative of a manual that brings in its organization codified and cataloged behaviors in a given historical and political time, which reveals in its content a neurobiological reductionism in the way of understanding and interpreting man and psychological suffering  To undertake our research, we will work with the perspective of a man whose subjectivity is transindividual, that is, he is constituted in the knot between the psychic and the social, but strengthened by the diagnostic qualification that alienates him, in counterpoint to his originality that makes him a ( disqualified. We will use Lacan's concept of time as an operator and articulator of three fields of knowledge: biological, psychoanalytic and sociological. It will be from the concept of time that we intend to re-read the disorder and psychological suffering, so that we can then interrogate its social face in a specific historical time and respond to the reasons why today we witness the same diagnosis being applied to a growing number of people. . What does it reveal about the DSM? To this end, the methodology to be undertaken will be Discourse Analysis (DA), based on reports from people diagnosed with ADHD, available on the website of the Brazilian Association of ADHD (ABDA). Data collection via the internet has been widely recognized as an important source of research as it contains spaces for social interaction and community building. In the case of the ABDA website, people are united by a common identity that gives them a trace of belonging with specific purposes. We will also use the Content Analysis (CA) method of the disorder as described in the DSM, as it goes beyond informative reading and involves interpretation work. Thus, AD and AC in this research will be crossed by the epistemic analysis of the concept of time in Lacan and sociological authors, such as Dardot and Laval, Brown, Norbert Elias, among others, in addition to the contributions of Lima, Foucault and Byung- Chul Han. We hope, therefore, to contribute to the clarification of ADHD disorder beyond neurobiological reductionism, bringing to light the ways of suffering of a trans-individual subject in their psychic and social dimension.
