THE ORGANIZATION OF PEDAGOGICAL WORK FOR CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION: COLLECTIVE REFLECTIONS

This research is linked to the Pós-Graduação em Educação Especial da Universidade (PPGEESP) Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) and delves into the theme of inclusion of children with disabilities and pedagogical work in early childhood education. Its objective is to collectively understand how professionals in an early childhood education institution conceive and organize pedagogical work for children with disabilities at a Centro Municipal de Educação Infantil (CMEI) da grande Natal (Rio Grande do Norte). This study aims to collectively comprehend how professionals in an early childhood education institution think and organize pedagogical work for children with disabilities in a Centro Municipal de Educação Infantil (CMEI) in the Grande Natal (Rio Grande do Norte). The investigation adopts a qualitative and exploratory approach, organized based on the collaborative research assumptions. It is grounded in Cultural-Historical Theory and engages in dialogues and reflections on the history and policies concerning children with disabilities, as well as pedagogical work and the inclusive process in early childhood education. Data collection and production procedures include online questionnaires, audio recordings of four reflective meetings with institution professionals, field diaries, and analysis of the CMEI's pedagogical political project. The construction of the study unfolds in three stages: "Initial Interactions: Contact with Reality," "Reflections, Planning, and Actions," and "Mediations and Reflections: Encounter with Reality." Data analysis is based on the "Discursive Textual Analysis" methodology, and the metatext will be constructed from the collected data. In conclusion, the research aims to comprehend how professionals in the early childhood education institution think and organize pedagogical work for children with disabilities. Additionally, it aspires to systematize and construct an e-book on pedagogical work for children with disabilities in early childhood education based on the discussions in the study.
