SUMMARY:

Oil is still the most widely used non-renewable energy source in Brazil, its consumption is increasing, so there is a need to use more advanced recovery methods to extract as much oil as possible. For this it uses advanced methods for its best possible recovery. Chemical methods is one such method used to control the mobility of the displacement fluid through its viscosity, improving its sweeping efficiency. In this work a study is carried out using the numerical simulation for the application of polymeric solutions injection in a semisynthetic and homogeneous reservoir, with characteristics of northeastern Brazil. The simulations were performed using tools from a commercial simulator belonging to the CMG (Computer modeling group). The work analyzed the influence of some parameters in relation to the behavior of its production. From the simulations performed, the influence of water injection and polymeric solutions was analyzed, as well as their most significant parameters in relation to their production. The main variables taken into consideration in this study were injection flow, polymer concentration, reservoir porosity and some injection schemes that were analyzed. For the analysis of the influence of the parameters it was used the generation of Pareto diagrams, in order to verify the sensitivity of each variable. From the analyzes performed it was seen that the most relevant parameters of polymer injection for oil recovery was injection flow and porosity. For water injection, lower oil production values were obtained than polymer injection.
