SUMMARY:

A concern that today's organizations need to have is to verify if the workforce they have is sufficient to fully meet their demands. Within the scope of the federal government, the Workforce Sizing (DFT) referential model created by Ministry of Economy (ME) in partnership with University of Brasilia (UnB), authored by Serrano et al. (2018), has contributed to this understanding, as it brings relevant information regarding the planning of personnel, resources and demands. This model was implemented in 2021 at UFRN in the form of a pilot to verify its adherence to a public institution of higher education. Information is shown to be the main input for the implementation of this model, so its quality is essential so that the results generated are closer to reality and contribute to an assertive decision-making process of people management. During the implementation of the model, UFRN faced difficulties related to the information to fill it out. Such difficulties lead to questioning the quality of the information used. Thus, the problem that guides this research is: How do producers evaluate the attributes of the quality of the information used to fill in the UFRN DFT? Thus, the general objective of this study is to audit the quality of the information used in completing the DFT reference model at UFRN, in the perception of its producers. To achieve these objectives, the following specific objectives were outlined: a) Identify the attributes of information quality according to the relevant literature; b) Verify compliance with the information quality attributes when filling in the UFRN DFT pilot information; c) Identify the main difficulties experienced during the process of filling in the information of the UFRN DFT pilot; and d) Propose recommendations that contribute to the improvement of the quality of the information used in the UFRN DFT. The approach method of this research will be inductive with statistical and monographic procedures (case study) and mixed approach (quantitative and qualitative). As for the objectives, it will be characterized as descriptive of an applied nature. Regarding research techniques, the intelligence audit model elaborated by Carvalho (2022) will be used as a guide, in addition to bibliographical research, the application of questionnaires and focus groups. For data analysis, the resources of descriptive statistics and the technique of content analysis will be used. Finally, as a result of this study, it is intended to contribute to the improvement of the quality of the information used in the UFRN DFT, shedding light on the debate on the subject in the institution, as well as for the Federal Public Administration, in order to bring improvements to DFT information, contributing to improving the allocation of personnel in the public service and increasing efficiency in providing services to society.
