SUMMARY:

This dissertation aims to contribute to reflections on methodological
practices in the field of Visual Anthropology. I use photography to discuss the
relationships that the images of “vaqueiros” from the city of Acari, in Rio Grande
do Norte (RN), Brazil, in the “NOSSOS ENTES” action, provoked when they were
exposed in Natal, capital of RN. The purpose is to analyze the link built by the
participants with the images of the “vaqueiros de gibão”, through the photographs
fixed as wheatpaste posters around the city.
