SUMMARY:

This dissertation seeks to understand a health sense valued, reflected, managed and demanded by the brazilian indigenous community Tapuia Trarariús from Lagoa de Tapará. Based on a research study conducted from 2017 to 2021 through workshops, interviews, ethnographies and online researches, mainly relied on a female presence, the work seeks to cross through their narratives in the way to understand how they facing social, environmental, economic and political problems, in way to connect them to their health. Therefore, we talked about issues that connect their reflections, complains and agency about the territorialization of their community and the risks around it, such as your illnesses, and the surrounding “autoatenção” practice. It will also discuss about their resistance, territorial construction, and survival strategies movements linked to a perception of their ethnic identity, social rights and health.
