RESUMO:

This work will present research results that aim to ethnograph and analyze the affective experiences of Brazilian black women, more precisely residing in the city of Natal/RN. I am interested in exploring how the expression of affections and the construction of erotic-affective relations are related to the racial dimension. The research partners are six black women living in a neighborhood considered peripheral in the city, in the adult ages, all over fifty years old. Therefore, this work will bring to the fore an aspect that has not been frequently dealt with in studies that take the theme of race in Brazil, as affectivity. Considering that the subjective construction of affective relations carries the marks of the history of domination and subalternization of the black people in the country, I intend to think how the historical inequalities and oppressions also influenced in the affective dimension of their lives. From this, I consider that reflecting on affectivity through listening to life trajectories, can help to better situate such questions in the present, after all, how do black women think about themselves and these questions? Rethinking such relegated roles in these bodies can be extremely significant when we speak of the affective market, marriage, and the constitution of families. Therefore, the research proposal is to understand to what extent stereotypes and other social constructions informed by race, gender, class, sexuality and generation intersect and impact on the construction of affective bonds of some black women.
