RESUMO:

The increasing use of fossil fuels for energy and increasing vehicle fleet in the world has increased emissions of air pollutants. Biofuels, especially biodiesel, emerged as alternative energy sources. They are renewable, biodegradable, and cleaner burning than mineral fuels. However, operational factors related to the final separation; recovery of reagents and energetic efficiency of process can turn the industrial production economically invaluable. In order to answer the questions of this possible unviability, innumerable researches were conducted to find most economical available process; one of the most promising areas is the supercrital process. Therefore a mathematical understanding of the process is capable to predict the viability of the process and how to turn the operational conditions optimized. The main goal of this work is to describe a synthesis model of biodiesel through the supercrital process in a continuous reactor filled with inert. The conditions that the experiments were conducted were: Temperatures of 300, 350 and 400ºC; volumetric flow of 0,5 and 1 ml/min; molar ratios oil: alcohol of 1:40 and reactional pressure of 15 MPa
