RESUMO:

The Oil industry is one of the sectors with greatest potential for environmental degradation and the produced water is the largest waste stream. The complex chemical composition and the high volume generated of this effluent carry a strict control and management.  In accordance with current environmental legislation the water should be treated before being discarded, reuse and recycle include underground injected to increase oil production, and other purpose. With regard to the treatment of produced water for oils and greases content removal, the combined technique flocculation/dissolved air flotation has been extensively studied. In the flocculation step has been used high cost flocculants of conventional chemical and non-biodegradable. In the context was evaluated the oils and greases content removal efficiency from the produced water by the combined technique flocculation/dissolved air flotation using Moringa Oleíifera a blend of natural flocculants and two commercial flocculants “C” and “D” (already use in the industry), aiming to let the water produced in the disposal conditions. The assays were performed according to experimental design statistical evaluation of the influence of the total concentration of flocculants, slow mixing time and flotation time on the efficiency of oils and grease content removal. Moreover, for each mixture and their respective ratios studied were obtained mathematical models. The effluent treatment using the mix of Moringa Oleífera flocculants and commercial flocculants “D” with mixing ratio in basis volume 50%:50% reaching the environmental requirements in all conditions evaluated, while, under the same conditions it wasn’t possible using the mix of Moringa Oleífera flocculants and commercial flocculants “C”. Also it was found the oils and greases removal content efficiency with mixing ratio in basis volume 70%:30%, respectively, as economic and environmental concern which was possible reach the environmental requirements for produced water disposal. All mixes of Moringa Oleífera flocculants and commercial flocculants “C” and “D” achieved satisfactory experimental results for produced water disposal.
