SUMMARY:

This research aims to propose a hierarchy of strategies for reducing ergonomic risks in plasmapheresis activities in a hospital located in the state of Ceará. Ergonomics plays a crucial role in the health and productivity of healthcare professionals, especially in hospital environments. The activity of plasmapheresis, essential for obtaining blood plasma, presents significant ergonomic risks. Therefore, the need to adopt effective strategies to reduce these risks is undeniable. In this context, the dissertation addresses the development of a Multi-Criteria Decision Support Model to prioritize strategies aimed at mitigating ergonomic risks in the plasma exchange activity, using Hospital do Ceará as a case study. The study begins with a literature review, highlighting the ergonomic risks in plasmapheresis and proposed mitigation strategies. Next, Multi-Criteria Decision Support Model is presented, which integrates criteria such as effectiveness, cost, feasibility and employee acceptance, providing a holistic approach to decision making. The case study at Hospital do Ceará involves the collection of ergonomic data, interviews with healthcare professionals and the application of Multi-Criteria Decision Support Model. The results reveal the hierarchy of the most effective strategies, considering the peculiarities of the local hospital environment. Additionally, the model considers financial factors and employee acceptance, ensuring effective implementation of selected strategies. Furthermore, it highlights the importance of involving healthcare professionals in identifying and implementing strategies to improve working conditions and patient safety. The research contributes to the field of hospital ergonomics, offering practical and targeted insights into the management of ergonomic risks in plasma exchange.
