SOLAR HELIOTHERMAL ENERGY: COMPONENTS OF CSP TECHNOLOGY SUITABLE TO THE CHARACTERISTICS OF BRAZIL
Heliothermic energy, Solar thermal concentration energy, CSP, Renewable energy, Solar radiation
The change in political and social awareness, as well as the change in the World Anti-Coal paradigm coupled with a growing awareness of society about the energy problem, in its various aspects, boosted a turning point for the use of renewable energies. Of the various forms of obtaining energy, solar energy is one that causes less impact on the environment, in addition to being one of the most abundant and free and already economically viable in all technologies. The objective of the dissertation is to identify the components of the CSP technology appropriate to the characteristics of Solar Radiation in Brazil. In addition, a case study of an international project for the production of electrical energy by solar thermal means based on cylinder-parabolic technology will be carried out. To this end, it will be necessary to carry out a study on the production of electrical energy by solar thermal means, to carry out a study of solar insolation and global solar radiation, as well as to acquire knowledge about the equipment used and the maintenance criteria of the electrical energy production unit. As a result, it is expected to identify the components of the CSP technology appropriate to the characteristics of Solar Radiation in Brazil.
