Model for performance qualification of industrial processes through the use of statistical tools
ANSI / ASQ Z1.4 sampling for attributes, Analysis of variance (ANOVA), Process control, Experiment planning (DoE); Process Validation.
In view of few studies using sampling or statistical tools in process performance qualification, there is a need for comparative study of sample plans in the process performance qualification and the fulfillment of the market requirements in relation to a performance qualification protocol that ensure the regularity of the proceedings. This paper tries to answer the following question: How to make the performance qualification of industrial processes with statistical base? In this way, the main objective is to present a model for performance qualification of industrial processes based on statistical tools. The following methods are considered: process mapping, experiment planning (DoE), control charts, process capability indices, ANSI / ASQ Z1.4 sampling for attributes and ANOVA. The application and the efficiency of the proposed model are illustrated through the study of process variables and product specification of an industrial process, the lamination process of a packaging industry.
