RESUMO:

Global warming is a challenge for energy and energy needs. In this scenario, wind energy is in great expansion, both in Brazil and in the world. As the market depends on a main equipment, the wind turbine, its operation and maintenance are fundamental for the viability of the business, and therefore, an application of new technologies, such as an Artificial Intelligence, can bring benefits to the sector's competitiveness. This work aims at an artificial intelligence application for the operation and maintenance of wind turbines that is relevant to Brazilian wind farms. For that, theoretical and field research was carried out. A theoretical research complemented a review of the literature and a systematic bibliographical review, analyzing 51 articles obtained in the Periodicos Capes Platform. The state of the art was identified as a bibliographic analysis and the classification of the files related to the equipment, data, methods and metrics used in their studies. After that, the field research follows the steps: 2) Identification of importance for the operation and maintenance of wind farms; 3) Data collection; 4) Selection of the most appropriate Artificial Intelligence method; 4) Development of application MVP; 5) Evaluation of AI application by specialists. As a result, it is expected to develop an AI tool, validated with data from wind farms and with expert opinion of the area.
