RESUMO:

Syphilis is a millennial and persistent Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI). According to the World Health Organization (WHO), it reaches more than 12 million people worldwide and its elimination continues to challenge health systems globally. In 2017, a total of 193,476 cases of syphilis in Brazil were reported in the Notification of Injury Information System (SINAN). In the same year, the Unified Health System (SUS) spent US $ 2.8 million on medium- and high-cost STI-related procedures, including hospitalizations, of which a significant number were directly related to syphilis. In order to reverse this scenario in Brazil, the project "QUICK RESPONSE TO SIFILIS IN THE NETWORKS OF ATTENTION" presents actions that are in line with the effectiveness in combating and controlling syphilis in areas of cooperation, including health surveillance. Thus, the objective of this work is the proposal of indicators to monitor and evaluate the health surveillance axis in the project "rapid response to syphilis in the attention networks", in order to establish the progress of its implementation and management as well as to achieve all the objectives outlined in its scope. As a research method, the case study was used, in view of the proposition of the indicators. This is an applied exploratory research with quantitative-qualitative approach. The expected results are the elaboration of indicators that have been used to support the management of the health surveillance axis in relation to all the deliverables of the scope, indicating if the project activities are being carried out and if the objectives have been achieved, thus helping to the axis manager make the necessary decisions to ensure the efficiency of the established strategic actions.
