RESUMO:

This research updates results of evaluation of the sustainability practices developed by the companies associated to the Network of Business Articulation for the Expansion of the Competitive Capacity of Suppliers of Goods and Services of the Oil and Gas Sector of Rio Grande do Norte - REDEPETRO-RN carried out by Rezende (2012). Observing the period of the last 8 years, when the survey was carried out with companies operating in the oil and gas market (2011), it can be seen that in the period the number of companies associated with REDEPETRO-RN decreased, which may reflect the PETROBRAS divestment process in the hiring of companies operating in the oil and gas service and industry in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. In this sense, the present research seeks to map the changes in the economic and regulatory scenario in which oil and natural gas companies operate. The research seeks to identify the strategies developed by the companies that remained active in the market. In this way, the research analyzes the sustainability of the organizations that are now associated with Redepetro, with the perspective of Triple Botton Line, identifying the reason for the termination or survival of Redepetro-RN companies. For the accomplishment of the study will be made the data collection through a questionnaire that will be applied with the managers or managers of the companies. The data treatment will allow us to identify the most present sustainability practices in the oil market. The research is justified by presenting understandings and orientations to the social, economic and social sustainability of companies operating in the oil and gas market, also contributing to possible applications.
