RESUMO:

Demand for electricity has increased due to factors such as population growth, industrial demand and availability of new electronic products that require this type of energy for its operation. In addition, the population has become more aware of the damage caused by the emission of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Goals set out in Agenda 2030 by the United Nations, the Kyoto Protocol and the energy planning of countries have favored the development of renewable energies. By the year 2050, it is expected that 86% of all electricity will come from renewable sources. In this scenario, wind energy stands out because of its high electricity generation capacity and the investments received in recent years. When we consider an offshore wind farm project, these investments can exceed the $ 1 billion mark. Due to the high investment required and the complex development of such a project, it is necessary for investors to know in detail the risks of this project and the returns that can be obtained, mainly in financial terms. The research aims to propose a specialized tool of financial analysis in the life cycle of wind farms of offshore wind energy. It is an applied research because it was developed based on scientific articles, technical reports and applications in the offshore wind sector. The method is characterized as a systematic literature review of 43 articles on the subject of studies of the technical and economic viability of offshore wind farms. The results show that a project of this nature, regarding its life cycle, can be divided into three macrophases: Pre-Development; Development and Operation; and Post-Operation. In addition, the financial analysis is divided into the technical dimension (it considers the study of wind characteristics and projects the amount of energy that can be generated according to the available turbine technology) and economic dimension (comprises the costs of the entire life of the project). The study is finalized with the financial analysis by the generation of technical and economic indicators that indicated the feasibility or not of the project
