The impacts of the Implementation the photovoltaic solar energy in the Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Norte.
Impacts. Photovoltaic Solar Energy. Sustainability. IFRN.
There is growing interest and investment in studies and technologies on the generation of energy, since consumption and demand are increasing. Brazil offers great privileges and advantages for the use of other electric energy sources, such as photovoltaic solar energy, and especially the Northeast, region that presents the best indexes of solar irradiation. The energy generated tends to be fragmented more and more, in several types, in order to contribute to a diversified matrix that seeks a greater use of available resources. With the implementation of solar photovoltaic energy some impacts will be perceived, being of environmental, economic, scientific and politico-social scope. The objective of the research is to identify the impacts caused by photovoltaic solar energy in the Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Norte, with the interest of understanding how this energy source is already and can contribute more to the society of general way, being in institutions, companies or residences. The study becomes important not only for dealing with a new source of energy in the energy matrix, but also to realize that it is a reality and its implementation is possible. The research was developed using a qualitative approach, characterizing the objectives as descriptive. A field survey was carried out with the application of individual interviews to those responsible for all photovoltaic solar energy of the IFRN, all 21 campus plus the rectory are monitored simultaneously and analyzed at the Photovoltaic Energy Research Center, in the central Campus. The categorization of the data was based on the content analysis and presented the perception of the respondents in classifications regarding the implementation of the mini photovoltaic power plants in the institution. The impacts raised by the research will be delivered to the persons responsible for the sector in the educational institution to serve as study material, and form to consolidate the use of photovoltaic solar energy in the state.
