RESUMO:

Wind energy is already used since the past. In Denmark, the great development of wind energy for electricity generation occurred from the manufacture of the first turbines by small agricultural equipment companies. By 1980, countries such as Germany and USA, through incentive policies, triggered investments with various stimuli in Research and Development (R&D). Thus, wind technology has developed significantly. In addition to being a clean alternative with low CO2 emissions, wind power is able to produce electricity at competitive prices compared to traditional sources of energy, which are seen as one of the most promising sources of renewable energy. The year 2016 was marked by the reduction of prices of the offshore wind sector, in some circumstances, offshore becomes cheaper than onshore. There are many reasons for this: the maturation of industry, the improvement and maturation of technology and its management, increased investor confidence, the quality of the wind in the sea and the introduction and implantation of turbines with greater power. Brazil does not yet have offshore wind energy farm and there are few studies in this area. Thus, it is necessary to identify and map the technological trends of offshore wind turbines in Brazil, exploring different technologies in foundations, generation capacity, types of material, blades and other components. The research will be carried out in three stages: a systematic literature review, a patent research, enabling a technological mapping of the technologies studied and then an application of the Delphi method. Analyzing the exploration of offshore wind turbines becomes important, since it provides a growth to the researches in the area, trying to predict if the studied situation will adapt to the reality, resulting in the emergence of tools capable of planning the future technology. Thus, we will conclude the best technologies to be invested in the Brazil.
