RESUMO:

As the years progress, society is more interested in the technological progress linked to the use of renewable energies. Solar energy, in particular, has been developing technologies in the areas of heliotherm, water heating systems, desalination and photovoltaic. This last one has been massifying the production of equipment such as panels, structures and inverters, leading to a question regarding the disposal of this material after its useful life, respecting, in a tangible way, the maximum energy efficiency results. Having these aspects a social and environmental highlight, it becomes relevant the study of materials, laboratory techniques and production processes that allow, after use of these equipments, a disposal so that the degradation is facilitated and with controlled environment damages. Based on this problem, the objective of this research is to develop an organic photovoltaic cell (OPV) from the shrimp shell (Farfantepenaeus brasiliensis) after chemical treatment of deproteinization, demineralization, depigmentation, deodorization and subsequent deacetylation. The method of this research can be characterized as theoretical about its genre, with descriptive objective, inductive argumentation, quantitative-qualitative approach, having as technical procedure the experiment. The research will include four stages. The first one will deal with the theoretical basis, being a traditional review of the literature and a systematic bibliographic review in the Scopus and Web of Science databases, totalizing 102 articles that support the dissertation. With the synthesis of the theoretical basis, the second stage will contemplate the experimental procedure of the solar cell, from the initial treatment of the shrimp shell to obtain the long-chain polysaccharide, chitin-chitosan, followed by the route of synthesis to obtain the active material of the cell. In the third stage, it will consider the characterization of the OPV for the determination of the morphological and photovoltaic properties, through the techniques UV-Visible spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), thermogravimetry (TG), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), size exclusion chromatography (SEC) and infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The tests and the obtaining of the results will compose the fourth and last step of the research. The expected results will contemplate the description of the characteristics and specifications of the new organic solar cell.
