RESUMO:

The shrimp farming industry relies heavily on equipment at all stages of shrimp production, thus their proper operation is indispensable for the final product quality. These assets need to be maintained periodically due to natural wear and tear or undue human interference. In order to structure the required such as Maintenance Planning and Control (MPC). It represents an alternative to solve problems facing eventual operational and managerial difficulties as well as a set of actions that aims to prepare, plan, control and schedule the maintenance activities. The present research intends to carry out the implementation analysis of MPC in a company in the shrimp farming industry in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. The study is classified as action research as it involves directly the actions of the researcher; it also has na applied nature, with descriptive and exploratory objectives. As a result of the research, it is intended to obtain better maintenance practices, reduction of corrective indexes and inclusion of new operational and managerial
