RESUMO:

Renewable energy has become more and more important nowadays, mainly with the increasing global concern about the threat of climate change and the constraints on natural resources in order to minimize environmental impacts. Brazil has enormous potential to explore renewable energies, especially photovoltaic solar energy (PV), which has a daily incidence between 4,500 Wh/m2 and 6,300 Wh/m2, but the development of this energy in Brazil has found some barriers to its implantation and expansion. The purpose of this is to identify and measure the impact of these barriers to the expansion of photovoltaic solar energy in Brazil, through the modeling of structural equations. The research has a theoretical basis that discusses the themes: Renewable Energy; Solar Energy and Barriers. The theoretical referential served as a basis for the formulation of 6 hypotheses that, in turn, allowed the creation of a proposed model to analyze the barriers that interfere with the expansion of solar energy. For the development of the article, it’ll be condute an interview with the managers of the solar energy sector through a survey, and companies in Brazil. As for the methodology, it this is an exploratory research, cross-sectional and qualitative-quantitative approach. For analysis of the data will be used to Structural Modeling Equations (SEM), appropriate method to analyze the proposed model, once that is confirmatory analysis, allowing the representation of unobservable concepts, and verifying measurement errors if it occurs during the analysis. In conclude, it is expected to verify if the model is validated and to know what barriers really impact the expansion of photovoltaic (PV) solar energy in Brazil.
