RESUMO:

The objective of this qualification project is to present guidelines for the joint optimization in the practice of adapted athletics through the ergonomic analysis of the work, aiming at the prevention of musculoskeletal injuries and the improvement of the paratleta of the wheelchair launcher / pitcher of adapted athletics of the city of Natal, RN. Paralympic sport has great potential, but has been marked by high prevalence and incidence of injuries. A long and complex chain of factors interact in this phenomenon and may promote imbalance in the relationship between the athlete's ability to dissipate, generate and transfer mechanical energy and the amount of stress imposed on the musculoskeletal system during the performance of sports activities. This study aims to understand these factors and their relation with the athletics modality of launching and with some specific deficiencies. The research will have as methodological approach the Work Ergonomic Analysis. Interaction and observation techniques, conversational action scripts, photographic records and videos will be used. Finally, ergonomic recommendations will be made that will help in the accomplishment of a preventive work directed to these athletes, aiming to reduce the incidence of injuries and to promote comfort, health, safety and the athlete performance improvement in the practice of the adapted sports activity.
