RESUMO:

Among health professionals, physiotherapist is considered a high-risk profession to developing Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI) and Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WRMD). The activity of the physiotherapist is marked by imposition of forced postures, static contractions, physical exhaustion that demands enough constraints on body health, inadequate working environment, intense working hours, favoring the development of RSI / WRMD. There are some studies in the area that relate Physiotherapy professionals and RSI / WRMD and few studies that evaluate the relationship of physiotherapy students in the training process and RSI / WRMD. This research aims at elaborating guidelines to prevent WRMDs in university students of physical therapy who attend the practical disciplines and perform internship. This is an exploratory and descriptive research, of qualitative nature, whose collection procedure will be given by bibliographic research, documentary, case study and field study. The methodology based on the ergonomic work analysis will be used. Will be performed documentary analysis of the Political Pedagogical Project, curriculum grid, course plan, and the discipline's agenda in search of elements that characterize that there is or is no indication of the prevention of RSI / WRMD in student training; interviews; photographic records and videos will be used for the understanding of work situations and risk assessment in the Physiotherapy outpatient clinic. As expected results this study aims to respond to research problems; contribute to the development of knowledge of the training of Physical Therapy students and prevention of RSI / WRMD and reduce the existing gap; produce a proposal for improvements that prevent the development of injuries to students in training
