RESUMO:

With the growth of private education institutions in the country, the search continues to improve the quality of teaching and processes, making portfolio creation an important process, because choosing correctly means avoiding wasted time and resources. This work aims to evaluate a model of criteria for selection of IT projects in an educational environment, but specifically in Private Higher Education Institutions using the multi criteria method, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). This study has as scope to deepen the demands of the business areas (Academic, Finance, Human Resources, Commercial, Student Relations) and received by the Information Technology area, where its importance increases every day, making it a Strategic area for the Institutions, as it provides technological advancement, innovation and supports the business to achieve the strategic objectives. Thus, the Analytic Hierarchy Process is an efficient and simple to use method, which brings agility to the process of selecting projects with low cost and low complexity. For the quality analysis of this process, we will perform a capability analysis, described in the "analyze" phase of the DMAIC cycle (define, measure, analyze, improve and control) used by the six sigma methodology. To conduct this research, this work will be delineated by an exploratory-explanatory survey type survey associated to a collection instrument composed of a qualitative and quantitative questionnaire to be applied with the board of the selected institution and studied as case. In order to reach the objective, a conceptual criteria model will be proposed to compose the AHP, which will be validated or refuted at the end of the work.
