RESUMO:

The Brazilian public health has been experiencing a chaotic scene where SUS users have received assistance with poor standard of quality and essential inputs shortages. In parallel with this reality, health organizations have been concerned about the scope of strategies for improvement. Quality Management is included in the Supply Chain Management to optimize results and meet the expectations of customers. In this sense, the ISO 9001 standard, generically, enables the adoption of standards and quality management systems with focus in customer and better results. This study has aims to map the hospital supply chain of the State Department of Public Health of the Rio Grande do Norte - SESAP RN and propose a Quality Program for Supply Chain Management of hospitals, based on the ISO 9001 requirements. This is an exploratory research with a qualitative approach, and outlines by a case study. It is expected that at the end of this research a management program model for hospital supply chain is proposed, in order to the continued provision of health care quality and focus on the attendance requirements of the customers and suppliers and therefore generating satisfaction.
