Achados auditivos periféricos e centrais em crianças com Transtornos da Linguagem

Introduction: Language disorders correspond to persistent changes in the acquisition and use of language, without a basic etiology to justify such changes. Knowing the close relationship between hearing and language development, exams and audiological symptoms can be used in an attempt to assist in the early identification and therapeutic process of children with the disorder, however, research conducted with subjects with impairments in oral language are still scarce. Objective: To investigate the influence of Language Disorders on the results of the cortical auditory evoked potential (CAEP), the acoustic reflex and the occurrence of hyperacusis. Methods: Dissertation structured in two manuscripts: (1) integrative literature review, without limitation of language or year of publication, carried out in five electronic databases and in the gray literature, in order to answer what are the characteristics of the CAEP, with speech stimulus in children with Language Disorders; (2) cross-sectional study, conducted with children with a diagnostic hypothesis of Language Development Disorder, Phonological Disorder or with typical development. Participants underwent complete audiological assessment and parents will be asked to answer the auditory hypersensitivity questionnaire. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and it is intended to insert the inferential one. Expected results: Higher latencies and lower amplitudes in cortical potential, changes in the acoustic reflex, as well as a higher occurrence of hyperacusis in children with Language Disorders.

RESUMO:

Introdução: Os Transtornos da Linguagem correspondem a alterações persistentes na aquisição e no uso da linguagem, sem uma etiologia de base que justifique tais alterações. Sabendo-se da estreita relação entre audição e desenvolvimento da linguagem, exames e sintomas audiológicos podem ser utilizados na tentativa de auxiliar na identificação precoce e no processo terapêutico de crianças com o referido transtorno, contudo, as pesquisas feitas com sujeitos com comprometimentos na linguagem oral ainda são escassas. Objetivo: Averiguar a influência dos Transtornos da Linguagem nos resultados do potencial evocado auditivo cortical (PEAC), do reflexo acústico e na ocorrência de hiperacusia. Método: Dissertação estruturada em dois manuscritos: (1) revisão integrativa da literatura, sem limitação de idioma nem de ano de publicação, efetuada em cinco bases de dados eletrônicos e na literatura cinzenta, a fim de responder quais são as características do PEAC, com estímulo de fala, em crianças com Transtornos da Linguagem; (2) estudo transversal, realizado com crianças com hipótese diagnóstica de Transtorno do Desenvolvimento da Linguagem, Transtorno Fonológico ou com desenvolvimento típico. Os participantes foram submetidos à avaliação audiológica completa e os pais serão convidados a responder o questionário de hipersensibilidade auditiva. Os dados foram analisados por meio de estatística descritiva e pretende-se inserir a inferencial. Resultados esperados: Espera-se que as crianças com Transtornos da Linguagem apresentem maiores latências e menores amplitudes no potencial cortical, alterações no reflexo acústico, assim como maior ocorrência de hiperacusia.
