SUMMARY:

Pressure injuries are an important health problem worldwide, being a significant cause of morbidity and mortality for patients admitted to the intensive care unit. This damage represents a challenge for health services, which have found in technology a promising alternative to optimize their work processes and resolve complications related to these events. Given this reality, the objective is to develop digital technology for nursing care with pressure injuries in an intensive care unit. It is a methodological development research, with a quantitative approach, with Design Science Reseach as a methodological reference. This framework consists of five steps, the first of which is the identification of the problem. At that moment, a study will be carried out in order to identify the incidence of pressure injuries in the intensive care unit studied. To this end, an exploratory-descriptive study will be carried out, with retrospective data and a quantitative approach. The probabilistic sample with replacement will be composed of 49 patients who were admitted to the intensive care unit between the months of October 2020 and January 2021. The data will be obtained from the admission and discharge book of that unit, then they will be analyzed by statistics descriptive and summarized through graphs and tables. The second step, called suggestion, will seek to build the items and domains of digital technology from an integrative review, through the following portals: Virtual Health Library (VHL), PubMed and Capes Periodicals, in addition to the Scientific Electronic Electronic Library libraries Online (SciELO) and virtual library at the University of São Paulo. The third step, development, will be the construction of digital technology. The fourth step will be centered, initially, on the validation of the content and appearance of the technology with ten nurses specialized in stomatherapy / dermatology and, later, on the validation with ten specialists in digital technology. The fifth and final step will be the presentation of the consolidated technology, the result of this study. In accordance with the above, it is believed that the use of the proposed technological product will contribute to the optimization of the time spent on nursing care, as well as, favoring an effective articulation between the multidisciplinary team, an adequate support to the management of injury pressure and the management of indicators related to these problems.
