A LOOK AT ALS: HUMAN EDUCATION THROUGH A TRANSMIDIA DOCUMENTARY

There is a need to open space for thematic discussions regarding rare diseases, more specifically Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) for health professionals, care centers, family members and ALS patients to be clarified and sensitized for training and care more human. The objective is to gather information about the context of ALS and then transform it into an audiovisual resource, produce a transmedia documentary and a course on ALS to assist health professionals, caregivers, family members and patients. The technology designed to address the issue of Education for ALS was the construction of a transmedia documentary and educational module that will be attached to the AVASUS platform. Semi-structured interviews were carried out with health professionals who work in the RevEla project, as well as patients participating in the project and their families. In general, the categories that were interviewed represent neurologists, respiratory physiotherapists, psychologists, social workers, lawyers, family members and patients present in three states. The documentary is aimed at transmitting a more humane and psychological approach to the target audience that deals directly or indirectly with ALS patients, and the educational course is aimed at health professionals, care centers and people with the disease who are interested in the subject and intend to deepen in relation to a look at the light of psychology in care.
