SUMMARY:

Neuroaudiology deals with the relationship between auditory information processing, brain functioning and human behavior. The fact is that individuals at any age can present audiological changes and one of the causes of these changes is syphilis, a systemic bacterial infection, which affects the nervous system and can compromise quality of life, social interactions and learning. However, the diagnosis of neurosyphilis remains a challenge, as there is no gold standard test, so the diagnosis is based on a combination of clinical findings. In addition, although the literature states that congenital syphilis is a risk indicator for late audiological changes, and the neonate must be monitored in the first years of life, there are few studies that address the follow-up of children born to mothers with syphilis. In this sense, this work aims to build an electronic registration system in the area of neuroaudiology, using as a case study patients exposed to congenital syphilis. For the development of the system, PHP language will be used together with the Laravel framework and the data, stored in PostgreSQL management system. It is hoped that this work may allow longitudinal studies to monitor and evaluate the consequences of the disease on the auditory, cognitive, linguistic and motor development of babies.
