SUMMARY:

Syphilis is a sexually transmitted infection (STI) caused by the bacteria Treponema pallidum. When a pregnant woman is infected and does not undergo treatment for it or does it inadequately, the infection can be transmitted to the fetus, causing what is called congenital syphilis. According to recent data published by World Health Organization, only in 2016 over a million of pregnant women presented the active phase of infection by syphilis during their pregnancy. With this knowledge, a new exam for diagnostics of congenital syphilis is proposed, with higher indices of sensitivity and specificity, in such a way that risk for false positives and false negatives are mitigated. The work reported here from the need of software components to control executed assays. The proposed architecture is comprised of two web services, a graphic user interface, and a common library. Technology produced are multiplatform, and meet the criteria of robustness, stability and availability.
