We have reached the fourth Industrial Revolution: the digital age in which the way we communicate, work and live has changed dramatically and irreversibly. Artificial intelligence is part of our routines, sometimes without even realizing it. The current context of technological innovation coupled with the huge amount of data generated all the time brings new challenges for internal communication. Metadata comes into play producing decisive information and making it possible to draw strategies from the generated knowledge. However, the management of communication processes in some large institutions such as federal university hospitals, especially with regard to internal communication, is substandard. Given this scenario, new techniques need to be part of the internal communication protocols of these organizations. Communication 4.0, rather than a trend, must be an internalized practice, connecting and transforming people and methods. This paper aims to demonstrate how the internal communication of federal university hospitals can become more effective using 4.0 communication, making a corporate social network proposal using collaborative intelligence and content recommendation.
