SUMMARY:

In order to develop a socially-referenced teaching practice, the primacy of lifelong training linked to the needs of society is confirmed. It is worth pointing out that it is essential to consider the real training needs of teachers when developing training, which can be identified by gaps, problems, interests and motivations. In view of the above, the general aim of this research is to investigate the training needs of pre-school teachers in the Natal/RN municipal education network regarding the use of technology in their teaching practice. This research is supported by a mixed approach, permeating the collection and analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data. This is an exploratory study of a basic nature. For data collection, a semi-structured electronic questionnaire will be used via Google Forms, involving open-ended, multiple-choice questions with a five-level Likert scale, which will be sent to all teachers in the network, constituting a sample based on the number of respondents. Analysis of the data will make it possible to identify the training needs of the teachers investigated, including the challenges teachers face when trying to use technology in their teaching practice and the gaps in their Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK), as well as identifying the areas in which training is needed. The aim is to produce a scientific article based on the results, including recommendations for developing teachers' TPACK knowledge, which will act as a guide for professional development. It is also hoped that this research will have a positive impact on future training proposals from the Municipal Department of Education (MDE), since they will have access to teachers' specific training needs, as well as their interests in relation to the use of technology.
