SUMMARY:

This research presents an investigative proposal that analyzes new paths for a more dialogical communication, using Digital Information and Communication Technologies, between the school and families through actions aimed at bringing the two institutions closer together in a context of collaboration and co-responsibility. To this effect, the theoretical-scientific assumptions that support this discussion are based on studies on technology (LÉVY, 2010; KENSKI, 2018), on communication (FREIRE, 1983; 1987) and education (PARO, 2007; LEBANESE, 2012; FULLAN, 2000), among others. The main question of this research is: How can the use of digital information and communication technologies contribute to school-family communication? We defined as the main objective: to analyze the impact of the use of digital technologies in school/family communication, in a school in the urban area of the public school system of Natal-RN. The research methodology will be based on the qualitative approach and will have as empirical study area the facilities of the public School Senator Dinarte Mariz, and as research subjects the parents/guardians of students of elementary classes II, of the morning shift. As for the objectives, the research is explanatory, where we seek to better understand the reality researched, identifying the reasons that determine or contribute to a more dialogical communication between school and family. As for the method, it is characterized as participant research, where the research technique entitled Focus Group will be used. Data will be collected from participant observation, logbook, questionnaire, and audio records. In the analyses, we will interpret the statements of the research subjects; as well as the interpretation of the facts by the researcher. At the end of the research, it is intended to have subsidies to analyze the impacts of the actions, realizing what contributions digital technologies can bring to school communications and which of these technologies are more viable for implementation in the researched school. This research should not be understood as a reality present in all educational institutions of the public network of Rio Grande do Norte. It presents only a partial and subjective view of a specific community in particular and can be applied in other contexts, provided that appropriate adjustments to the local reality are made.
