SUMMARY:

The production of changes in the teams' work process, in management practices, care and social control in the health area has been sought after by the actors in this process through ongoing training in line with the demands of the service itself. Permanent Education (PE) in the health area is based on the assumption of meaningful and problematizing learning, proposing strategies that enable collective construction, in addition to guiding paths for a dialogical relationship. Inadequate or deficient training can lead to serious complications for patients. In particular, in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) the risk is evidenced in babies who have just started their lives. The NICU has its own and intense dynamics among the nursing teams, which makes it difficult for the PE to understand the whole and to act in a preventive way against possible sequelae. Following the line of development of educational technologies, this work has as main objective to assist the permanent hospital education in the survey of training demands for nursing at the NICU through the development of a predictive classification model. For this, data from hospital discharge and death records from January to December 2021 of the system incorporated in the sector in a public hospital in the greater Natal/RN region, the Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap), will be analyzed. The research has a quanti-quali approach and the PDCA method (Plan, Do, Check and Action) will be used for the development process of the model to be adopted, which aims to deliver continuous improvement in the processes. As a final result of this research, a model and a web system will be delivered to visualize the classification of training possibilities for nursing at the NICU, based on the researched hospital. It is intended in this way to provide space for discussion on this theme, promoting improvement in health care through educational actions based on hospital data. It is expected to additionally help to reduce the possibilities of sequelae caused during the hospitalization period that impacts on public health and hospital costs, contributing to the protagonization of the permanent education service by promoting educational actions that are aligned with the real needs of the service.
