SUMMARY:

This research aims to build a didactic-methodological proposal for using the Interactive ELE website as a mediating resource for knowledge in the teaching-learning of Spanish as a foreign language. As a result, we take as theoretical support the studies by Martinez (2009), Almeida Filho (2015) and Paiva (2014) which discusses the teaching of foreign language from the perspective of the communicative approach; Moran, Masetto and Behrens (2013), Bacich and Moran (2018), Camargo and Daros (2018), and Bergmann and Sams (2020) which discusses the importance and use of technologies and active methodologies, especially for the flipped classroom. Therefore, a research was developed based on action research  with a mixed approach quantitative and qualitative, since it intends to analyze data collected in a 4th year class of the course: Integrated Technician in Chemistry at IFRN - located in the city Nova Cruz. For this, we applied an oral pre-test to verify, under a qualitative paradigm, the participants' prior knowledge and oral performance. Then, we performed the didactic intervention and applied the oral post-test. Afterwards, we comparatively analyzed, through an evaluative rubric, the results of the pre and post-test in order to verify if there was a development of the oral competence of the participants throughout the teaching-learning process. At the end, we applied an electronic questionnaire, with open and closed questions, in order to investigate and evaluate, under the quantitative and qualitative paradigm, the impressions of the research participants in relation to our didactic intervention and the individual factors regarding interaction, motivation and student autonomy. Thus, in view of the potential of the flipped classroom methodology and the communicative approach, it is expected that self-learning will be promoted in an interactive, contextualized, communicative and motivating way that places the student as the main learning agent.
