SUMMARY:

The dissertation or situation presented in the debate about the importance of stimulating, since the Early Years of Elementary School, skills such as logical reasoning and problem solving, identified by the Common National Curriculum Base (BNCC) as essential for citizens of the 21st century. The research presents Computational Thinking (PC) as a means of stimulating skills, and its main objective is to develop a strategy to search for it in the most different classrooms, considering different social, cultural and cultural contexts, in order to democratize the access to this type of knowledge. To develop this strategy, specific objectives for the research were listed, namely: a). Analyze the prior knowledge of teachers from the Early Years of Elementary School about the PC; b) Develop and validate activities on CP that can be replicated in different contexts; c) To structure, in a single material, concepts and inspirations for computational thinking classes for the Early Years of Elementary School; d) Disseminate the material produced online and publicly, so that it can be visited and used by different teachers. The methodology used throughout the work is based on the principles of action research and is guided by the steps indicated in the work of Gil (2002), being carried out, at first, a study of works on Computational Thinking and new technologies, sequence didactics, production of didactic material, children's literature and development of competences and skills, and then the production of didactic material on the teaching of PC, with primary school teachers as target audience. From the studies carried out and the proposal elaborated, a research made possible the use of classics of children's literature in the teaching of computational thinking in the Early Years of Elementary School, finding, as a strategy for the dissemination of the PC, the publication of an ebook for teachers, containing reports of experiences, a didactic sequence based on children's stories and suggestions for PC classes that do not deal with digital resources to be performed. Therefore, the main aspects of this research lead to reflections on the use of children's narratives to understand the concepts of Computational Thinking and point to the publication of an ebook for teachers as a strategy to take this methodology to the ground of public and private schools in the country.
