SUMMARY:

The present research intends to analyze digital games as a strategy on the comprehension of knowledge objects at the Elementary School I in a remote way, using the mobile device as a tool and Whatsapp app as a mean of communication. The methodology applied has a qualitative basis and founds itself on Thiollent's (2002) knowledges of an action research, carried out remotely with children between ten and eleven years old, attending the 5th grade of Elementary School I. Our orienting question founds it basis on the investigation of games as a contribution to the learning process in children, from which we started to follow paths and choices intending to establish which objects of knowledge according to the BNCC (2018) may be associated with digital games. After choosing the objects of knowledge, five digital games based on three criteria were defined: (i) digital game available for free, (ii) accessible to install on the mobile device and (iii) whose game content could be related to the object of knowledge worked with children. The criteria have also been substantiated on the works of Prensky (2012), Greenfield (1988) and Gee (2009), which address the importance of digital games in the construction of knowledge in their studies. Considering the analysis of digital games as a possibility of learning, it is finally essential to record this process creating a didactic sequence in order to provide teachers the expansion of new perspectives on learning through digital games.
