SUMMARY:

English has become the most widespread language in the world, a language currently essential for the job market, for the technology area, in the international relations, and among others, in education. Because of this, the English language has been incorporated into regular education in Brazil for some decades, although this scenario has not improved much with respect to the communication skills of the students in the English language. The work takes as a starting point the difficulties that teachers of regular schools in Brazil face in relation to the teaching processes learning English, among which stands out the lack of motivation on the part of the students to learn that language. This problem is due to the fact that in many cases the classes are monotonous, or the lack of didactic resources that can allow the creation of a favorable environment (playful, attractive and that brings novelty) for the teaching process learning the language in question Taking into account the mentioned aspects, the need tomdiversify activities in English classes, and make use of new resources to motivate students, as well as adjust the didactic material in order to orientate different way the teacher in this process. So, one can think about the use Educational Robotics (RE) that have brought numerous advances to the education, and it can be found a way to improve the environment in the classroom and encourage the student to take a more active role in English classes. Therefore, this project presents a proposal for the integration of the RE as a aid tool in the teaching processes of learning the English language. It is intended, therefore, to develop a low cost robotic kit coupled with sequences pedagogical didactics, applying principles of Educational Robotics to foster the development of orality and linguistic knowledge of students in the sixth year of Elementary School, as well as to evaluate the repercussions that the integration may bring of this technology for the teaching of the English language. The suggested development methodology has nuances in the design instructional, the field of application being regular public schools and / or private schools, and the target audience, teachers of the sixth year of Education Fundamental. For the initial stages of the project, analysis will be carried out using questionnaires addressed to regular English teachers in order to learn more better current needs in this area, in addition to a literature review for the theoretical basis of the project. Then there will be the creation of a low-cost robotic model together with a didactic guide, with the purpose of assist the English teacher in the process of integrating robotic technology, and for end, an evaluation of the effectiveness of the proposed methodology will be carried out and the repercussion in terms of student learning through questionnaires and interviews with participants (teachers and students).
