SUMMARY:

This research emerged from an experience, developed in the teaching practice of teachers of Child Education, in a private school in the city of Natal, using eLearning as an innovative strategy, for the continuity of the educational process in times of pandemic. Two issues substantiate the construction of this study: the first talking about use digital technologies in the teaching practice of child education, given that children are considered digital natives, so that technologies are part of their daily lives. The second problem deals with restrictions on children's exposure to screens, according to the guidelines of the Brazilian Society of Pediatrics, defended by specialists in the field of Child Education. In view of the emblematic situations pointed out, the following research problem is pointed out: How to enable the use of TDICs in Child Education in times of pandemic, in order to collaborate with innovative pedagogical practices? So, the objective is to analyze the feasibility of eLearning in Child Education, with children aged 4 and 5 years, in a private school, during the pandemic. The theoretical framework is based, initially, on the studies of PAPERT (1994), VALENTE (2010) and ROJO (2013). The chosen methodology has the nuances of an action research, since it is intended to produce information and knowledge, in collaboration with the teachers involved in the study, in teaching practice. Empirical observation and semi-structured interviews will be used as research instruments, in addition to seminars, inspired by the model of Thiollent (2002), with the teachers involved, which will make it possible to plan and execute, together with this group, didactic sequences, with eLearning. It is expected to contribute to the teaching practice in child education, specifically, with the use of technologies, in the context of the pandemic, in addition to providing greater motivation for children, since digital information and communication technologies are part of children's daily lives, in all areas of your life. So, enabling students to participate in the educational process as an author and not just as a consumer of technology.
