SUMMARY:

The objective of this work is to investigate how the teacher can stimulate self-regulated learning in students in distance education, through a Formative Evaluation Model according to the perspective of the authors Hadji et al. (1994) and Perrenoud (2002). Our concern is to verify if self-regulated learning can contribute to reduce school failure in distance education, aiming at a longer permanence and success of students. For this, we propose to intervene in the planning of the evaluative activities of a curricular component of a specialization course, to identify the possible cognitive, metacognitive strategies and resource management adopted by the students in the learning activities, to analyze and evaluate whether the adopted strategies provided the self-regulated learning . Regarding the methodology, it is considered empirical, because it is carried out in the environment where the phenomenon occurs. Regarding the elapsed time, it is characterized as transversal, as we consider a particular period. As for the type of method, it is considered deductive and aims to confirm the premises that students can improve their performance through self-regulated learning. As for the paradigm, it is typified as mixed, as we use qualitative and quantitative methods; and with regard to depth, it is identified as interventionist research. In the course of the research, activities were carried out, like: readjustment the project, planning the actions to be carried out in order to meet the intended objectives, theoretical review and literature review, to have an overview of the context of self-regulated learning in recent years. As a desired product, it is intended to create a practical guide (e-book) containing good practices of evaluative activities that can enable self-regulated learning.
