SUMMARY:

The geographic science is an important part of brazilian education system,  responsible for analyzing the reality in which each human being dayling lives. In the classroom, living and analyzing reality is also seeing how can a digital games are inserted in our daily lives, especially in classrooms. However, without being integrated as part of the pedagogical activity, could be so wasted. This dissertation has the purpose of  explore and evaluate the process of creating games in Geography classes from the students view. This theme has proved to not be the locus in the area of geographic science, and few studies seriously developed regarding the use of the game creation methodology in other areas, being necessary to discuss and developing this theme, considering that the new BNCC has as one of the criteria the use of TDICs in the educational process. It is also important to emphasizing the value of games for young people, large consumers of this product, resulting in research on the use of commercial or educational games, often in an unattractive way. Thus, we seek to prove that the process of creating games can be a means of learning which the student's doing will be placed in an active and meaningful way, placing the playful side of learning and enriching the teaching-learning process. For this, we applied the methodology to groups of students from the 7th and 9th grade of elementary school in two private schools in the city of Natal / RN. To this end, surveys of studies that worked on the line of game development made by elementary school students were made, planning of actions for application in the schools chosen for the project and the evaluation of the whole process as a way to validate if there is indeed a learning experience. valid for the student. At the end, we analyzed the previous studies and the samples taken from these classes to analyze the viability of this methodology in Geography classes. Thus, it is expected that we can collaborate with the development of education showing how the methodology of creating games by students can be a potential teaching-learning tool in Brazil.
