RESUMO:

The teaching process in the digital era must deal with the challenges that comes when building knowledge. Despite the consensus among education authors that the student, when active in the educational process, learns in a more significant way, little is perceived in such assertive practices as strategies to achieve the success on the activities planned by the teachers. In this context, the objective of this paper is to develop a didactic sequence through the use of audiovisual language as a metacognitive process of learning development. The methodology of this research will be based on the explanation of factors that contribute to the occurrence of these events, with a research of the qualitative approach which results in knowledge for practical application in the teaching process. First, the researcher will begin the project named “What does the quilombo have?” by taking in consideration the following questions: What do you know? What do you want to know? How will you know?. This research is relevant because it rescues the contributions of the African people in the social, economic and political areas relevant to the history of Brazil. Following the first stage, there will be group meetings, out of school hours, where the kids will be part of video production workshops. The children will be able to record fundamental stages of the research project through audiovisual language such as video taping. In the dynamism of capturing the basic knowledge of the individual, learning will be created by revisiting cognitive factors through comparisons, tracing neural pathways of metacognition, thinking about the thought and the learning how to learn. This way it is possible to expand knowledge through research and have later access to the “before and after”. At last, final videos editions will be presented to the entire school community and the school community’s feedback will be collected for discussion. The expected result is the development of a didactic sequence that presents pedagogical practices focused on the use of audiovisual language as a metacognitive process for the promotion of meaningful learning.
