RESUMO:

The changes brought about by the development and constant presence of Digital Information and Communication Technologies (TDICs) in the 21st century have gained wide space and have been promoting debates and discussions in research and academic studies in Education. Even in the face of a society closely linked to TDICs, the process of teaching and learning mathematics in Brazilian schools still happens in a predominantly traditional way in which the student is passive in the face of their learning process.Thus, there is a need for innovation in teaching practices, as well as signaling for concern with practices related to mathematics and daily life, at all levels of education. In this sense, the active methodology of Blended Learning integrated with TDICs emerges as a possibility to redefine the pedagogical practice and, accordingly, with the approach of statistical contents through projects, allows the student an integral formation and the experience of a more meaningful learning. The central question of this research is how Blended Learning can contribute to promote a teaching sequence in Statistical Education. Thus, the general objective of the research is to analyze the contributions of a teaching sequence in Statistical Education based on Blended Learning. To achieve this goal, the following specific objectives were defined: To raise experiences and conditions in the school for the use of Blended Learning; Develop a teaching sequence with concepts of Statistics based on Blended Learning; To evaluate the pedagogical contributions of Blended Learning in Statistical Education in a public school in Baraúna/RN. The research method will be guided from the perspective of action research, as it enables the researcher-teacher to investigate a problem of its context, develop a more active role in the actions, and enable the improvement of their practice and the performance of their students. The theoretical discussion is based on the respective fields of study: I) Mathematical Education and Statistical Education; II) Active Methodologies: Blended Learning and its modalities. At school, action research will follow the following steps: Mapping school experiences and conditions for Blended Learning practices; Planning and presentation of the proposal to the management of the school and students; Implementation, observation and evaluation of the teaching sequence. The research will take place at the João de Abreu State School located in the urban area of Baraúna, in the western Potiguar mesoregion. In the research, the delimitation of the object of study brings as subjects, students of the 3rd year of high school. It is hoped that this proposal can contribute to the resignification of the teaching practices of the researched school, besides producing knowledge that can serve as a basis for improvement in the teaching of statistics content, enabling the identification of possibilities for the integration of the active methodology of Blended Learning with TDICs in learning mathematics. Finally, it is expected to strengthen the construction of the fields of Mathematical and Statistical Education.
